Jordan Birch aka ‘Birchy’ is a Certified Professional Coach and Community Catalyst living and coaching in Port Moody. His adventurous spirit believes in a life of community service and he is fascinated to breathe empowerment into life.
His passions drive him to empower entrepreneurs to breakthrough insanity—doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results. In his private practice Get Out Of Doors Coaching he has pioneered the fusion of transformational Life and Business Coaching with Ecopsychology as a medicinal catalyst for the true entrepreneurial spirit to soar. Jordan’s Coach approach is a direct product of the very elements and personal experiences that enabled him to recover from his own rock bottom. His office is outside in nature’s playground where his clients are guided experientially to find their own solutions and strategies to effectiveness, performance, and wellbeing.
Birchy has over a decade of experience working in an outdoor leadership position in a variety of community programs including public health care, not for profit organizations, and environmental education. As a Coach facilitator he has implemented his creativity by delivering unique action based learning experiences to school groups, youth camps, corporate team building retreats, and mental illness & addiction treatment centers.
He is a graduate of the International Coaching Academy and completed his Masters degree in Applied Ecopsychology (who we are, how we grow, why we suffer, how we heal—are inseparable from our relationships with the natural world). He is committed to ongoing learning and development through his active membership with the International Coach Federation and the Association of Experiential Education. Jordan is a Community Catalyst, a leader among a progressive and grassroots collective of professional change makers. He accomplishes and celebrates all of his endeavors continuously with the support of his personal Coach and holistic power team.
Birchy’s giving spirit believes in service above self and as so, he is the Chief Experience Officer of Now That’s Ugly Society—the Port Moody based not for profit organization that is responsible for the hottest social holiday trend on the planet: Ugly Christmas Sweaters. His Society’s multi-initiative fundraising campaign embodies the Ugly Christmas Sweater as an authentic knitted icon of his team’s core values showcasing true Christmas spirit: Be Ugly. Do Good. Connect. Give. Reconnect & Be Kind. As the Host of the 13th Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party, the Co-Founder of Ugly Christmas Sweater Day and the driver behind The Ugly Sweater Run Canada 5k Series, Birchy has empowered The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, his chosen fundraising beneficiary, to reach a wider demographic. On a national level his fundraising campaign will exponentially increase the number of heartfelt wishes granted for Canadian children living with a life threatening illness.
Birchy regularly attends and supports other grassroots fundraising initiatives in the local community and abroad. He is one of ‘Ruben’s Buddies’, a mobile drop off site for Ruben’s Shoes, a peer not for profit organization that collects shoes for kids and adults that don’t have any. Birchy also reaches to help others internationally and is a proud sponsor of a young boy in Ghana who needs help with school supplies and tuition.
Jordan Birch has been in business as a Certified Professional Coach building a sustainable and dynamic coaching practice in less than two years. In his inaugural year he was nominated for the Best of Canada 2013 Natural Health Awards, honouring the best of Canada’s Complementary & Alternative health care practitioners, products, and personalities.
In 2013, Birchy was selected to be a contributing Author in the Bestselling Adventures in Manifesting book series. In the book ‘Conscious Business’, Birchy is highlighted among 33 International Thought Leaders whose stories ignite your entrepreneurial spirit. Conscious Business is all about the energy of highly creative and inspired entrepreneurs and business owners sharing their stories of success. In his contributing chapter, Jordan Birch, Life & Business Coach in Nature, presents his unique story: how he turned an addictive lifestyle and self-destructive path into one of healing and inspiration. Jordan’s story, and the other 32 stories contained in Conscious Business will motivate and influence you to make the changes necessary to harness your inner power.
In all his pursuits, he is fascinated to empower others to grow deeper roots and reach greater heights. He lives and breath coaching, however, you can also find him traveling with his family, at the hockey rink, on the yoga mat, steering the paddle board, blowing scuba bubbles underwater, planting footprints on the trail, shredding through powder or traversing his bike up a mountainside.
